Vernissage Berghaus Plattjen

The journey from Saas-Fee reveals the first sight on the mountain house on the same latitude as Saas-Balen. The house itself lies below the north flank
of the midday horn on 2418 above sea level.
During the seasons the mountain house is lit up in the evening brightly that looks like a shining star above the valley in the rough mountains. The house experiences partly violent weather
and winds, however it is protected very well against possible avalanches and stands safely, solidly on hard rock.

The Ferienart mountain house can be comfortably reached by the Plattjen gondola and a short departure on the runway
No. 1. Pedestrians walk up to the mountain house carefully along the runway edge (descent approx. 10 - 15 minutes, rise approx. 20 – 25 minutes).

The Vernissage Berghaus offers both rustic and exquisitely: the quality of the dishes surprises quite a lot of guests – „haute cuisine“ in its purest form!

Vernissage Berghaus meets everyone‘s taste! In addition a daily varying so called „Pisten-Quicky“, the dish of the day, is served in the „Gamelle“ and also
available as take-away on request.

During winter time it is the cosiness of the interiors that invites you to relaxing breaks directly situated on the runway passport. A bunch of wood, cuddly
sheepskins and some set black and white priorities underline the charm of the main restaurant. If requested, two extra small and comfortable rooms on the
first level are additionally avaible: the red „Valais-Stübli“ and the blue „Olympia-Stübli“. In March and April the guests love the great panoramic terrace
with its free view above the „Mischabelgruppe“. Regardless of weather and season, table reservations are highly recommended for lunch.

An experience of the special kind is an overnight stay at Vernissage Berghaus.
What is nicer than watching the falling snowflackes on the outside, sitting around the fireplace and having a perfectly good meal? The house with the
historical double room „midday horn“ and the both mass camps „Dom“ and „Fletschhorn“ can also be rented exclusively for special occasions – including a
private chef.

Berghaus Plattjen is perfectly suited for business excursions, team building seminars, strategy meetings and Incentives and can accommodate groups of up to 15 people.

Also the mountain house is the first climate-neutral mountain site of Switzerland.
By the help of the Swiss climate protection organisation „myclimate“ the CO2 output of yearly 8.94 tonnes is compensated in a climate protection programme in Madagascar. Last summer Berghaus Plattjen was given the green Swiss flag as a symbolic confession for sustainbale tourism.
